Father's Day Card - 1

I managed to get some father's day cards/masculine birthday cards done at our retreat. It is so much harder for me to do guy cards- no bling, no bows etc...
Plus I super miss my dad this time of year so it's always bittersweet to sit and make father's day cards for everyone but my own dad.

I did two versions of this card- The first is specifically for father's day and is stamped inside with the following sentiment from Papertrey Ink's Father Knows Best set : "The love of a father is one of nature's greatest Masterpieces."

The tree is from Stampin Up's Lovely as a Tree set which is widely rumored to be retiring in the next catalog. It is stamped Pallet Ink Burnt Umber then colored in with Prismacolor pencils and blending with Gamsol.

The background paper is Bazzill craft card stock which I wet the crumpled and sponged with additional Burnt Umber Ink.

I distressed each layer with the and then added plain twill.

As you can see I totally forgot to stamp the Happy Father's Day sentiment in the empty bottom right hand corner of the card before I took the picture.

The second card is almost identical except I left the inside blank and made the central image a little larger and centered it on the card.

I think I make a couple more of these as they are a nice generic masculine card.
